When we started planning our intimate wedding, our goal was to create a celebration where everyone-our relatives, close friends, titos, titas, ninongs, and ninangs-felt connected and genuinely part of the experience. And with Stephen Tierra as our host, that vision came to life in the most beautiful way.
 

From the very beginning, Stephen took the time to genuinely get to know us and each of our guests. It wasn't just hosting for him-it was storytelling, building connection, and making every person in the room feel seen. He brought so much heart and soul into our celebration that several guests actually asked if he was a personal friend, because it truly felt like he had known us for years. His presence gave our wedding this warm, personal energy that you can't manufacture. It was effortless, engaging, and full of lighthearted joy. And when it came to the after party-he turned things UP! Even our titos and titas/ninong & ninangs, who we thought might leave after dinner, stayed until the end and took over the dance floor.
 

Stephen knew when to keep things sweet and sentimental, and when to turn the energy up to celebration mode. His ability to read the room and tailor the experience is unmatched.

Stephen Tierra was an absolute gem as our host for our Golden Hour-themed wedding! His approach was not just professional but also personal, as he took the time to understand us as a couple, making our journey to the big day incredibly smooth.

We truly believe God led us to Stephen—and what a blessing it was to have him as our Master of Ceremonies. From the moment we booked him, everything went smoothly. He was easy to talk to, accommodating, and genuinely helpful.

Weeks before the wedding, we had our first virtual meeting.

Stephen came prepared with program ideas and suggestions that made planning so much easier for us. He helped us visualize how the flow of the day would go, while always respecting what we wanted (and didn’t want) included in the program. Even with his own family commitments, he made time for us—and that spoke volumes about his professionalism and passion for his craft.
 

On the day itself, Stephen went above and beyond. Even before the reception began, he was already engaging with our guests. We received so many beautiful compliments about how lively, heartfelt, and fun our celebration was—thanks in huge part to Stephen’s energy and hosting! Everyone laughed, cried, and truly enjoyed every moment. The whole room felt involved from beginning to end. It was a day overflowing with emotion, love, and joy.
 

Reymund and I can wholeheartedly say: Stephen is truly gifted in what he does.

Oh, and bonus—ang pogi pa! Some of our guests even said he looked like Paulo Avelino and wanted to take pictures with him. Haha!

One month before our big day, unfortunately, our original MC had to pull out. We had to scramble to find a new host, and luckily with the help from The Wedding Project, we were able to secure the services of Stephen. What initially set him apart from the rest was the professionalism of his portfolio and his excellent presentation of a variety of different events and to different crowds, showcasing his versatility. We had an international wedding with a big mix of people so having someone like Stephen was a must.
 

During the planning stages, Stephen came up with a well-structured program and we were able to modify it easily to match our needs as well as with the rest of the suppliers. He was also able to incorporate some surprises for us from our family as well as some last-minute changes for us. Communication was easily done via Viber and Zoom as we are based in Singapore.
 

Our venue was the Conservatory at the Peninsula, for an intimate wedding reception with many international guests. During our day, the overall program went very well, Stephen was able to control the tempo and gauge the energy level of the crowd to really give a very good performance. Laughs, tears, excitement, gratitude, and cheers were all covered! The surprise pieces in the program were wonderfully executed. Stephen’s background staff were also flawless in their execution and coordination with the other suppliers.

After the formalities, special thanks to DJ Mark for pumping up the crowd for the after-party and keeping us going until closing. Honestly don’t really remember much but we were very happy to invite Stephen and the team for some drinks at our bar and to party with us!
 

Overall 10/10 for Stephen, all the guests young and old loved the program and for a lot of our guests, was their first Filipino wedding so Stephen has really set the bar high for them! We would highly recommend Stephen to host any kind of event and we would love an opportunity to work with him in the future.

This review is a bit late, a month after the wedding. But better to be late than to have no review at all, di ba, especially if Stephen Tierra is your wedding host. We inquired with Stephen 2 years before the wedding, but we were able to book him 1 year later, fortunately, available pa siya on our wedding date.
 

From our first collaboration meeting, our first impression was that he seems serious yet professional. He presents the program as if he is already visualizing what will happen that day, and that’s when we knew na he really is the master of his craft. And from there, we just entrusted everything to him.
 

When we arrived in our reception venue, during the cocktail hour, we saw him conversing with some of our guests. I think yun na yung way nya on how to connect and adapt depending on the energy and attitude of the crowd.
 

Going into the program, every transition was seamless, and the program was well executed without ever feeling rushed. He knew when to be serious and when to crack jokes based on the emotion of the crowd. This is what stood out to us, his ability to build and carry emotions throughout the evening. From laughter during games to the heartfelt moments during the speeches, he knew exactly how to read the room and bring the right energy at the right time.
 

We got a lot of positive feedback from our guests, na sobrang galing daw ng host. Syempre kasama na din dun yung praises na kamukha nya si Paulo Avelino or some say Jason Dy.

At first, we were having a hard time to find the right host for our wedding as we suddenly stumbled upon Stephen Tierra’s page. It was a bit of last minute but we still tried our luck if he was available to host & immediately set an online meeting. Right there and then, we booked him! We loved his ideas and it was aligning with our preferences as well.
 

Our wedding reception was so smooth and it was exactly what we hoped for. All of our guests loved it & they had so much fun! Sir Stephen listened to us, our story and all of our requests and he delivered it perfectly. The planning was very organized and we loved the fact that he had a structured process of the program.

We never felt that any part of it was forced and rushed. All of his ideas were fresh, classy & with a mix of your traditional filipino wedding. We are so speechless until now of how our night went.

Just got married last June 29, 2025. I booked Sir Stephen because I saw a lot of good reviews about him and his hosting style.

But what really sealed the deal for me was his choice of games! I knew from the moment I saw “Family Feud” in his list, our wedding reception would be memorable. Lo and behold, our guests loved “Family Feud”!
Everyone was into it.

He also helped us be comfortable with the program. He was the one who actually helped us set the mood for the reception. He lets us decide what kind of program we want and we are grateful that he can respect our preferences. But just in case you need help in anything (like suggestions etc.), he’s ready to help you.

We’re very glad Sir Stephen was our host. We received great feedback from our guests and families about his hosting!

Dami nagtatanong bisita saan nyo nakuha yung host dahil sobrang galing. Walang boring part sa reception namin and even sa cocktail hour palang.
Super professional and really knows how to keep and feel the vibe of our guests. Very sharp and witty to come up with comebacks and jokes that made our guest comfortable and able to participate with the program.

Can make some adjustments on the fly depending on what the program needs. Can definitely trust Stephen that you will have a really nice wedding reception.
 

And also the spinner/dj for the afterparty was *chefs kiss* everybody was partying. Had to extend our reception because everybody was saying bitin pa.

To future brides and grooms, debutantes, or whatever event that you need a host..

Sir Stephen is quick on his feet in setting the mood of the guests, it was a hot sunny day, and our reception was at an alfresco venue. He even recommends and reports to us what he thinks the guests need and takes action on our behalf (with approval, of course)! He’s like an extension of me and my groom, an extra set of eyes and hands while the guests are waiting for us during the cocktail hour.

For you guys to imagine, a perfect description of him is the other meaning of the word “host” = as in like a host entertaining guests in his own home. IBANG KLASE! I’ve never seen anything like it. He’s buong pusong alaga sa lahat ng pinaghirapan namin ni Joshua, and we didn’t even ask for it, it’s all him!

To those who are still checking whether Stephen is the best fit as the host for your wedding, here are some pros and cons.

PROS:

- Prior to the day, Stephen will set meetings to get to know the couple as well as hash out some details about the event itself.

- He’ll give you an “assignment” to get to know some more details about you, which will then be incorporated into his planning for the event.

​

- You’ll also be asked to give a few details/descriptions about some of the key guests (eg. ninongs & ninangs, family members) which he’ll then study prior the big day to improve his rapport with the said guests.

- During the planning of the reception, we asked to incorporate a few things into the program, and Stephen was kind enough to accommodate our request and help us work it into the schedule.

- On the big day, Stephen arrived early with his team and was dressed to the nines (he prepared a very nice suit for our event).

​

- Just before the start of our reception, during our cocktail portion, our family and friends told us that Stephen was mingling with them. They were even surprised when he introduced himself as our host at the start of the program because they had assumed that he was one of our friends.

- Our guests enjoyed his games, which were both fun and classy. Not the typical corny or cringey games that you might encounter at other weddings.

​

- While it’s hard to put into words Stephen’s hosting style without having to experience it yourself, I would be able to say that he’s the consummate professional. Never boring, always witty, and able to easily adjust on the fly.

- At the end of our reception, when we extended our time at the venue, Stephen stayed with his team and had his DJ take care of the music. Because of that, our guests really had fun on the dance floor.

Chris and I would like to express our deepest and sincerest gratitude and appreciation to you and your team! Solid! You really did an incredible job keeping the energy of the crowd. Start to finish, walang tapon sa buong program. 11 pm na natapos yung buong program proper pero our guest attendance is still almost 100%, all thanks to you and other suppliers na rin.
 

I’d like to highlight a few things from our wedding.

-All the PS appreciated how you introduced them. Ramdam daw nilang special sila sa amin, you gave them spotlight daw. Pati yung special mention mo din sa mga friends and relatives namin who travelled from different parts of the world and Philippines.
 

-Games: bato bato, pick and family feud, players or not, nag-enjoy talaga. Super happy ako sa family feud, nakita namin and rest of the crowd, yung competitive side ng both dads.
 

-Yung tribute sa both parents namin for their wedding anniversary, it was heartfelt and sobrang natouch daw sila. It meant a lot sa amin ni Chris yun kasi for us, kasi yung wedding namin is also for our parents.
 

Both dads have high standards and medyo mahirap maimpress, pero super satisfied and happy, both parents sayo. Same with my review kay Sir Leo, we felt your concern sa wedding namin. Thank you so much!

Stephen is definitely one of our favourite suppliers. Lahat ng guests na nakausap namin after the wedding, sinasabi ang galing daw ng host namin! Ang nakakatuwa, akala nilang lahat matagal na raw naming kaibigan si Stephen kasi when he talks about us during the program parang ang close raw namin

On the surface natatawa kami sa comment na yun kasi never naman talaga namin nameet si Stephen in person before the wedding. But in hindsight, we realized this truly shows his professionalism and love for his craft — he made sure he is well-prepared for our wedding.

May pinasagutan siya sa amin na couple profile before the wedding, pinakwento niya rin dun yung love story namin as well as our proposal story. Sabi ni hubby, siguro pinag-aralan at binasa niyang mabuti yun kaya talagang para kaming friends on the day of the wedding kung makapagkwento siya. At least alam mong he’s not the kind of host na basta pupunta lang sa kasal tapos bahala na si batman. He prepares for it and makes sure he brings his A-game.
 

We only had one online meeting with him to discuss the reception program flow, but he was always just a message away whenever we needed anything during preps.

He’s very professional yet so kind and accommodating. Sobrang classy niya rin mag-host and he makes sure everyone is having a good time. Tipong banayad lang pero rock!
 

And we really appreciated that he volunteered to do our growing up video! We just sent him our photos then siya na gumawa!

He may not be one of the most popular hosts out there, but at the rate he’s going, he’s definitely on his way to becoming one of the best wedding hosts in the country. Having him as our host was one of the best decisions we ever made. We really couldn’t recommend him enough!​
